Horsing around – Don & Carol Tiller, homeowners – Saddlebrook Farms Manufactured Home Community in Oshtemo, near Kalamazoo MI

Don and Carol Tiller both worked for the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company which later became Pfizer. To rephrase, that means they both had great careers with a very good company that provided them with a fine lifestyle. Their lifestyle was so good they have a getaway place in Florida, while they live in Michigan. They took up the ‘hobby’ of caring for Morgans, a breed of horse they explain cost well over 6 figures to own. In one of the great ‘horse trades’ of all time, they sold their acreage and nice conventional house. After checking out apartments and condos as a way of downsizing, they opted instead for a beautiful manufactured home at Saddlebrook Farms, in Oshtemo, near Kalamazoo MI.

As with all of our Inside MH video interviews, we let Don and Carol tell their own story in their own words. We don’t script these interviews. Before we start the video capture – while the cameras, mics or wiring are being set – yours truly gets a chance to chat with the person, couple or family we are going to speak with.

One of the many terrific interior views you’ll see during this video home tour of John and Sue Howard’s lovely manufactured home. They are in the same community as Don and Carol Tiller.

As a result, you as the viewer of a video walk away after watching a wide variety of real-world insights.

First, you learn something about the person, couple or family. You learn about their background and interests. During the course of that discussion, you also discover what drew them to manufactured home living.

The Tillers are a classy, upscale and delightful couple. They did and could have owned all kinds of ‘conventional’ on-site built housing. Besides their manufactured home, they keep a getaway place in Florida.

You’ll hear in their own words what they’ve discovered in the years since they’ve began living in their modern, new MH.

The parent company that operates Saddlebrook Farms manufactured home community is Campbell-Caron Properties (CCG Group). We met one of the principles, John Caron during an industry trade show. To make a long story short, that lead us over time to this Inside MH Road Show trip. If you Google that same company, you’ll find that they own West Michigan Home Sales, they are also Real Estate Agents, Property Managers and they are General Contractors.  They operate a very unique apartment living concept, that we hope to explore with them some day, because they provide their apartment residents with a path to home ownership.

You’ll discover through this interview with the Tillers that the owners, management and team members have a high degree of motivation when it comes to delivering a great resident and home ownership experience. That’s a standard that we at MHLivingNews believe deserves a spotlight. Its a big part of the reason why we invested the time and energy in showcasing the happy home owners they have, people from many walks of life.

If you’re thinking about living in that part of Michigan, naturally you should check them out. If you are considering manufactured homes in some other part of the U.S. or Canada, look for professionals that have the same kinds of standards that have made the Tillers so clearly happy with their manufactured home living. That’s the kind of good news we like to share. ##
