As fall approaches, this is a great time of year to think about heat taping your manufactured home (built after June 15, 1976), a mobile home (built before June 15, 1976) or any age of the millions of conventional houses that are built over a crawl space. No one wants a winter freeze up on a water line!
And while you don’t have to heat tape sewer lines, this Do It Yourself video featuring industry veterans Gary Fath and Dayle Miller from New Durham Estates will show you how to do a heat tape job, as well as describe tips that can keep you from having a sewer line freeze up too.
Its worth noting that many a weather man gives advice that this video will shed new light upon! So don’t just watch it yourself, share this with others to help them prevent a winter freeze up of water or sewer lines too.
As chance would have it, we shot this video in late spring, not knowing that we’d see sleet and snow that day in Westville, Indiana. Westville’s a great town, one of the safest in all of that state, and just minutes from Valparaiso, Michigan City or La Porte; and maybe an hour’s drive into Chicago. This town is set to grow!
We’ve enjoyed bringing you the Albers Brothers Do It Yourself videos before, and have more of these DIY projects on the drawing board. Thanks as always for checking in, lots more features about manufactured home living to come! ##
