Joe’s candor and wry humor shine through in this interview. He talks about the back-story to NBC’s American Dream Builder’s episode that featured four of his company’s homes, how financing and capital are being attracted to the MHIndustry and his outlook for continued industry growth.

The premise of this episode of American Dream Builders was that 4 identical modular homes would have their interior designs and landscaping done by 4 different teams of competing professionals.
The outcomes wowed the judges, and the winner and their model home is slated to appear in Better Homes and Gardens Magazine.
That episode aired on NBC, and is also shown here.

One of the judges in the American Dream Builders episode shown said these homes compared well with a Manhattan penthouse! As Joe Stegmayer observed, the cost is just a fraction of one of those elite New York City addresses. A similar point was made by CBS News in their recent Sunday Morning episode that featured manufactured homes from entry level to residential style and up to those elite models that shattered stereotypes because they are lived in by millionaires.
In this 5 minute “Inside MH” video, Cavco’s CEO also speaks about what Wall Street analysts are saying that is attracting potentially billions of dollars into manufactured housing.
Mr. Stegmayer is a prior Chairman of the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI). You can learn more about him at this written interview with him, A Cup of Coffee with…Joe Stegmayer. ##
