Modular Apartments opening in New York City’s Long Island, Nassau County

Newsday tells MHLivingNews that a 28 unit prefabricated building, called The Stack, will be opening in early October for occupancy. The Village Lofts are located on Front Street in Hempstead.

Matthew Korman, and Orlando Frade of Douglas Elliman Real Estate are leasing agents for the building’s modular homes.

“The building is top notch quality,” says Korman. The features include residential moldings, wide plank maple wood floors, high ceilings and oversized windows for great feng shui. The kitchens boast solid wood cabinets and GE Energy Star appliances including a dishwasher. Bathrooms are designed with custom tile.

The one- and two-bedroom units — also equipped with washers and dryers — range in size from 810 square feet to 1,557 square-feet.

Set in a gated community with a courtyard, the building also offers an elevator, a common room, media screening room and on-site storage room. These are said to be among New York City’s first factory built housing. ##
